Britney Spears, who has just revealed that she is expecting a baby with Sam Asghari, reflects on her pregnancy with her first child, Sean Preston.
After sharing an Instagram post earlier this week announcing that she found out she was pregnant when she noticed weight gain after her trip to Maui, Spears returned to social media on Saturday (April 16) with an image of herself younger. The photo, which Spears says is from her pregnancy with her eldest, shows the pop star cradling her belly.
“My first child Preston!!!” Spears captioned the photo, which can be seen here. “Oh the weather… what a beautiful mystery!!! I still have this dress in my closet 16 years later!!! Damn I’m getting old!!!”
“NOOOOO I’m not ready to shop at old ladies’ stores,” she joked, then added a comment about how the 2021 comedy It’s 40 “is literally the best movie EVER!!!”
Spears’ message then became more serious.
“It was a time in my life where if someone even mentioned I was locked in a house… being seen naked every day when I was changing like some kind of criminal… my guards would literally put the devil or God on him- even down in literally a fraction of two seconds!!!” she wrote.
“So yeah, I’m scared to have a baby in this world,” Spears admitted, “especially in America where they did 4 documentaries without me and telling my story!!! Still… IT helped end guardianship!!!HMMM…Oh ok…I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many documentaries about someone unless they’re dead!!!I mean was that even allowed???? Again once OH WELL that’s the prospect you know???”
“Today my outlook is to pamper myself with tea…try on @KateHudson’s new INBLOOM line…and put on the same dress I wore with my first child 16 years ago!!!” she said, before wishing her subscribers a Happy Easter.
Spears has two sons, Sean, 16, and Jaden, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The bundle of joy on the way will be fiancé Asghari’s first child.
Spears had previously made it clear that she hoped to expand her family. Before the star’s 13-year conservatorship was officially terminated in November 2021, she told court in June that she had wanted her IUD removed so she could have more children, but was told had said she couldn’t at the time by her “so-called team.”
After announcing her pregnancy on Instagram last week, Spears showed off her growing baby bump in another post.
Meanwhile, on Asghari’s Instagram, the dad-to-be wrote, “Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and don’t take lightly. It’s the most important job I ever will.
